The Level Heads have now settled the full details for the reunion dinner. Twenty people will be coming with a few others wishing us well from afar but unable to attend.

Date: Friday 13 October 2023

Place: Old Wimbledonians Sports Ground, Raynes Park.

Time:

• From 17:30 “Assembly” and “Register”
• 19:00 Four course dinner followed by reminiscences
• 22:00 Carriages

To get to the location, the OWSA website here has full details. See the website home page for details of the access before and after the event. Briefly, it is easiest to arrive through the Somerset Road entrance. There is a small car park which closes strictly at 11pm. At the end, those being picked up or booking a cab should direct the car to the Coombe Lane exit which is “143 Coombe Lane, SW20 0QX”. Coombe Lane is also the best for buses to Kingston or Wimbledon.

The menu is

• Cognac laced Duck Liver and Pork pate, with Red Onion Marmalade and Melba Toast
• Traditional Roast Rump of Beef with Yorkshire Pudding, Roast Gravy and Horseradish Sauce. Vegetables
• Apple and Blackberry Crumble with warm Vanilla Custard
• Cheeseboard

(NB) A vegetarian option is available if we are notified in advance.

Wines can be purchased from a list at the bar. The plan is to have three round tables, and a radio mic will be available for short speeches, anecdotes and announcements. The total cost of the meal will be £30 and it would help to pay in advance. BACS details have been sent to attendees. It has been suggested that name tags would be useful as we all now look the same (old, grey and wrinkly). If you have an old name tag (eg from work, conferences or any other event) please bring it. It will be a conversation piece in itself!
